Our Story
Caravan Crash and Service has been looking after South Australian travellers for more than 60 years. What started as a small family workshop has grown into a trusted name for caravan crash repairs, servicing and insurance work.
From humble beginnings in the 1960s with Collin and Betty Griggs, our business has always been built on family, hard work, and a passion for caravanning. In 1984, the next chapter began as Mike and Dot Griggs took the reins, continuing to grow and strengthen what had already become a trusted name.
In 2017, the business was proudly passed on to the third generation, with Heath and Jen Tiver (née Griggs) carrying the legacy forward. Today, we remain a family-run business, with decades of experience, skills, and knowledge handed down through the generations — something we believe truly sets us apart.
While times have changed, our commitment to quality, honesty, and good old-fashioned service is exactly the same as it’s always been.

Colin and Betty Griggs
Was an Executive board committee member of the Caravan, Camping Industries Association ( CCIA) of SA from 1973-1984. In 1988 he was awarded Life Membership of the association in recognition of of the work he had performed for the benefit of the caravan industry.

Mike and Dot Griggs
From 1984 to current is an Executive Board Committee Member of the Caravan, Camping Industries Association ( CCIA) of SA. Mike Served as Treasurer from 1998-2005 and President from 2005-2011. He was instrumental in the late 1990's of implementing the recreational Vehicle Repair and Servicing Traineeships. He holds Certificate III in RV Repair and Servicing and Certificate IV in Coaching and Training. Mike was awarded Life Membership if the CCIA of South Australia in 2011

Heath and Jen Tiver ( Griggs)
Daughter of Mike Griggs, Jen Tiver (née Griggs), along with her husband Heath, proudly took over the reins of the family business in 2017. Building on the strong foundation established by her parents, Jen and Heath have continued to grow and evolve the business with a clear vision for the future.
Since 2017, they have driven significant progress within Caravan Crash and Service, expanding both the scope and quality of services offered. Their commitment to excellence has seen the business develop a strong reputation for reliable caravan repairs, insurance work, and comprehensive servicing.
A major milestone in their journey was the move to a new, purpose-built location on North East Road. This expansion introduced a dedicated sales yard, allowing them to showcase a range of consignment caravans, as well as a modern, welcoming office space designed to better serve their customers. These improvements not only enhanced day-to-day operations but also elevated the overall customer experience.
Under Jen and Heath’s leadership, the business has embraced innovation while maintaining the trusted values it was built on. Their hands-on approach, attention to detail, and focus on customer satisfaction have been key drivers in the company’s continued success.
Today, Caravan Crash and Service stands as a testament to their hard work and dedication, with ongoing growth, an expanding client base, and a reputation for quality workmanship that continues to strengthen year after year.
